Popper Test

The other evening I snuck out for about an hour to cast for sand bass.  I have been catching them on little Clouser minnows with a fairly slow retrieve.   After I caught a few fish I decided to try one of my new poppers just to see how they look in the water.  I guess they look okay.

  1. I'm taking the kids up to Vogel state park early next week (spring break) to do a little fishing. Without you here to tell us what to do, I wanted to pick a place that I knew was well stocked and easy to fish for someone who knows so little. I'm going to grab a couple of Ugly Sticks at Walmart and some worms and try for some bluegill and a bass or two.

  2. Holy mackerel, someone is reading this thing! Sorry Eric that it has taken me so long to respond. I have gotten lackadaisical about checking my on my email and blog. Pretty much the only things I have been doing is fishing and working. In fact I fish too much to post about it.
When you go fishing don't for get bobbers. I remember my mother would take me to the city pond behind Christ The King church on Peachtree St. and I would fish with little rods and bobbers. I would catch a ton of bluegills. That was the the start of of my fishing obsession.
